Staff Appreciation

Our teachers make all the difference!

At Craneisha’s Dance Unlimited, we believe that our people are the heart of what we do. That’s why we work with passionate, local instructors who are deeply invested in the Fort Wayne community—not outsourced talent.

We create an environment where our teachers can grow professionally and thrive personally. Each class is led by an instructor who values connection, creativity, and care.

We also believe in the power of teamwork. Our staff is thoughtfully selected and supported to ensure every dancer feels motivated, engaged, and inspired in every class.

Maya has been dancing since the age of two and has developed a strong foundation in movement through years of training and performance. From age ten to eighteen, she trained under Craneisha as part of a competitive hip hop team, sharpening her skills and gaining extensive stage experience. In addition to hip hop, Maya has a background in gymnastics, competitive cheerleading, and the high school dance team, contributing to her versatility as a performer. Currently, Maya is an onsite hip hop instructor at the Fort Wayne Dance Collective, where she shares her passion and expertise. She is also a company dancer with Mikautadze Dance Theatre, a modern and contemporary dance company based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The accompanying photo was captured by David Mikautadze, music director and photographer for the company.

I am Craneisha Cobb and I’m a passionate dance educator, choreographer, and community leader with over 16 years of teaching experience. My journey in movement began with cheerleading for Metro Youth Sports at just three years old, and I have been performing ever since. In high school, I danced for the Snider Panther Pride Dance Team for two years and served as co-captain before joining the PFW Dancin’ Dons, where I performed for four years and choreographed routines for them.

I officially began my teaching career in 2009, right out of high school and has since taught hundreds of students throughout Fort Wayne. I coached the Snider Panther Pride Dance Team for 10 years, taught at community centers and schools, and choreographed for high school and college dance teams. My routines have competed at both regional and national levels, earning Best Choreography, Top Overall Scores, Entertainment Awards, and Special Judges’ Awards.

In addition to studio and team instruction, I’m the founder of We D’fye, a dynamic all female hip hop dance crew that performs across Fort Wayne and the surrounding area. As a mother of four, including two children on the autism spectrum, Craneisha is deeply committed to inclusive dance education and providing opportunities for every child to feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Jazmyne Brand began dancing at just two years old and has trained in various styles for over a decade. As a competitive dancer, she performed at both regional and national levels and was a four-year member of her high school dance team, where she served as team captain for two years and co-choreographed their senior night performance.

Jazmyne was a dedicated student teacher under Miss Craneisha for four years, where she developed her leadership skills and a strong connection with younger dancers. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a degree in Nursing at Indiana University Fort Wayne.

As CDU’s Office Manager, Jazmyne brings a warm, organized, and welcoming presence to the studio. She is passionate about supporting both dancers and their families while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. In her free time, Jazmyne enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and soaking in all the little joys of life.

I’m Kaitlin! I was born and raised in DeKalb, IL. I have danced since I was four years old. I was on my varsity high school dance team for four years before being recruited to dance in college. I danced at Trine University for four years and was a captain for three years. I have consulted for various dance teams in the Indiana and Illinois area. I currently am a 6th grade math teacher and coach the Blackhawk Middle School Dance Team. I am excited to teach the next generation at Craneisha’s Dance Unlimited.

Keira Hoffman began dancing at the age of 10 and quickly found a passion for movement, performance, and athleticism. By age 12, she was competing at both regional and national levels, where she stood out for her versatility and strength in performance.

She trained and competed throughout middle and high school, dancing for Jefferson Middle School and Northrop High School. During her time on the Northrop Dance Team (NDT), she led the team to state-level competitions and served as captain for two years.

Keira has trained in a variety of styles including hip hop, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, and acro. While she has two years of formal gymnastics experience, she has spent years developing acro-based dance tricks and tumbling skills with consistent training and mentorship. Her dedication, control, and technical understanding make her a strong leader in CDU’s Acro program.

Keira also served as a student teacher under Miss Craneisha for four years, where she grew as both a role model and a teacher. She brings energy, encouragement, and a focus on safety and technique to every class.
